‘I WILL NOT BE A DORMANT MP’, NSAMBYA HOSPITAL MEDIC NAKIRYA JACKIE ENTERS WAKISO DISTRICT WOMAN MP RACE, ATTACKS MUSEVENI ON PDM TOURS, SAYS IT’S TIME FOR BOBI TO SHINE

0

BY MOSES MUGALULA

BORN three years after then rebel Yoweri Kaguta Museveni launched the NRA guerilla war to unseat Milton Obote’s government, iron lady Nakirya Jackie a staff at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya has attacked Mr. Museveni for what she termed as wasting tax payers’ money during his recent Parish Development Model (PDM) tours in Wakiso, a district she is vying for as a woman Member of Parliament.

While featuring on Dream tv’s Ekyoto Ky’Abataka show on Saturday, Nakirya a staunch supporter and member of the opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) did not mince words when she said, Mr. Museveni would have instead channeled billions he wasted in Wakiso and Kampala under the guise of PDM tours, on improving infrastructure and health facilities in the country.

Nakirya who many have already spotted as a would be vocal legislator if she enters 12th Parliament said, Mr. Museveni used the PDM tour to attack and decampaign opposition politicians instead of arresting his people who were exposed by the public on stealing PDM money.

“Everywhere Mr. Museveni reached, our people were complaining about the beauracracy in getting PDM whereas, some received only 500000 instead of 1M. Can you tell me, how many arrests were made? You come to Wakiso district, spend billions and failed to arrest any of your people who stole PDM money. Instead you attack opposition leaders. We are tired of such excuses, that is why the nation is going to rally behind His Excellency Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi in 2026 as our 10th President.” Said Ms. Nakirya Jackie who wants to unseat Naluyima Betty Ethel.

Meanwhile, at Namboole where President Museveni wrapped up Wakiso district PDM tours, he addressed concerns about PDM funds being mismanaged, urging Ugandans to scrutinise leaders they elect to ensure the money reaches them properly.

He said, “Many leaders talk about development, but since the 1960s, we have been clear: If you have roads but no income, how will that help you? That’s why we added a third word—wealth in the homesteads.”

Museveni said, everybody must get a form of wealth. Programs like PDM, Emyooga, the Youth Livelihood Program, and the Women Entrepreneurship Fund are aimed at helping public achieve that.

However, Nakirya disagrees with the President. She reasons, Mr. Museveni was instead on a campaign trail to seek for votes advising the old man with a hat to try else where, Wakiso will again be painted red, come 2026 elections.

A daughter to Mr. Richard and Mrs. Alice Ssejjengo, Nakirya holds a Masters in Psychology and a Bachelors Degree in Counselling from Kyambogo University. She holds a Diploma in IT from Makerere University. In 2021, she contested for the same seat and narrowly lost the race!

“This time we are unstoppable! Wakiso district needs a bold voice, a legislator who is not dormant, a female representative who can speak for women, children and everyone without fear or favour. And that is none other than, your own, Nakirya Jackie,” She told viewers.

Nakirya has two residences in Wakiso district, one at Kiteetikka in Kyadondo East and another one at Kisubi, Entebe.

Her manifesto talks about fighting for disadvantaged women, coming with a law to end domestic violence, finding genuine avenues to eradicate poverty and being a bold against Human Rights violation. She believes, women being pivotal in bringing up children, they need to be defended and aided to find something to do. Nakirya says will fight for girl child, end early pregnancies, school drop out and will make sure their voice will be heard in Parliament. She revealed that, the nation is in jeopardy because women have been left behind.

On why she chose NUP against NRM mass party, Nakirya says Hon. Bobi Wine is a political messiah sent by God to liberate Uganda from the jaws of dictatorship!

An outspoken Nakirya who many think fits in the shoes of former powerful female legislators; Miria Matembe, Eng. Winnie Byanyima, Cecilia Ogwal, Winnie Kiiza among others, said Hon. Kyagulanyi is an inspirational and his leadership is worth following.

“I joined active politics in 2017 during Kyadondo East MP byelection which was massively won by Hon. Kyagulanyi. All through his MP campaigns, i followed him and this youthful politician proved to be a young man with fresh ideas, speaking the minds of the marginalised population,” She noted.

Adding that, “I wouldn’t have joined politics because i have a well paying job but Hon. Kyagulanyi’s solidarity, his determination to liberate our country, and the price he has paid ever since he joined politics, you can’t find such a leader in NRM. Kyagulanyi has inspired youth to join politics. I realised that he needs able leaders to stand by his side. I therefore decided to put aside my medical profession and offered myself for the bog task of Female MP Wakiso district.”

Nakirya is happy that NRM Primaries ended in violence saying, let them fight each other for the world to know the true colours of NRM.

Now, her first battle is to secure NUP ticket to run for MP but insiders say, Nakirya Jackie has higher chances, unless, otherwise!

During President Museveni’s Parish Development Model (PDM) tour in Kampala a week ago, The Head of State found out that some leaders are sleeping on duty, people are not getting PDM yet he sends the money.

PHOTO: A day President Museveni visited Ghetto youth in Kawempe. He promised to increase PDM in urban areas to 1Bn per a parish

In Kawempe Division, outgoing DRDC Njuki was directed by the President to explain anomalies with PDM cash in Kawempe after public outcry that they don’t see the money, the guy kept on giving lame excuses which pissed off the old man with a hat!

No wonder, Njuki has been replaced by Muhoozi’s blue eyed boy, Kagenyi Lukka, just seven days after Presidential PDM tour in Kawempe.

A letter dated July 25, 2025 signed by Haji Kakande Yunus, Secretary, office of the President, reads, “Dear Mr. Kagenyi, in the interest of Service, management has decided that, you be transferred from Manafwa district to Kampala – Kawempe division as Deputy Resident City Commissioner. Kagenyi is known to be a very hardworking youngman who grew up from the Nakulabye ghettos. He is a hustler, a ghetto boy and a loyal carder to President Museveni, his son Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba and the ruling NRM Party!

A well educated youngman with a Bachelors Degree, Kagenyi is such a wonderful signing whose expectations are very high in helping President Museveni change lives for ghetto youth in Kawempe, his major mission. Goodluck Mr. Kagenyi!

SHOCKING EVIDENCE! HON. KEEFA KIWANUKA IN TROUBLE OVER RIGGED WASSWA DRAKE EDWARD’S VICTORY IN KIBOGA EAST NRM MP PRIMARIES! RIGHTFUL WINNER HIRES TOUGH LAWYERS, PETITIONS MUSEVENI

0

PHOTO: Wasswa Drake Edward (left) insists, he defeated Hon. Keefa Kiwanuka (right) in the recently concluded Kiboga East Constituency NRM MP primaries. His lawyers have petitioned President Museveni, want election of Keefa nullified.

NEWS EDITOR MEDIA

TWO days to the NRM elections last week, Kiboga East Member of Parliament Dr. Keefa Kiwanuka allegedly sold off his land at Kakiri on Hoima road and was paid UGX 350M, the money he used to wet beaks of registrars and buying DR Forms to alter the factual results which were reading Wasswa Drake Edward as the rightful winner of this hotly contested Party Primaries for NRM MP Kiboga East Constituency 2026-2031!

An insider has revelead to us that, Keefa first sold off a pine tree plantation in Mubende where he bagged millions he used to bribe voters according to Wasswa’s camp! How he got this Mubende land, is another shocking story! We will tell it all, in our next story!

Back to the fraudulent NRM Primaries victory, Although Keefa Kiwanuka and agents played all dirty games to manufacture his contested victory, they left a difference of only 1,631 votes! Little did this two terms legislator know that Wasswa Drake Edward was not about to let him run away with a rigged victory!

Through his lawyers of Byamugisha, Gabriel & Co. Advocates, hardworking Wasswa Drake Edward petitioned the Chairperson, Electoral Commission, National Resistance Movement on July 22, 2025 and the NRM Elections Disputes Tribunal challenging the NRM Primaries for Kiboga East Constituency citing gross electoral irregularities, violence and Manipulation of results.

The four pager petition reads, “We act for and on behalf of Mr. Wasswa Drake Edward, hereinafter called our client, on whose instructions we address you as follows: Wasswa Drake Edward participated as a candidate in the recently concluded NRM Parliamentary Primary Elections for Kiboga East Constituency.”

Wasswa’s lawyers say, Pursuant to the NRM electoral guidelines and the principles of free and fair elections enshrined in the 1995 Constitution of Uganda, we hereby formally submit this petition to challenge the credibility and legality of the election results declared in favour of Dr. Keefa Kiwanuka.

“This petition is made in good faith, seeking to uphold internal party democracy and ensure justice both for our client and the electorate of Kiboga East, who were allegedly deprived of their right to participate in a transparent and credible electoral process.” Reads, candidate Drake Wasswa’s petition.

GROUNDS FOR THE PETITION

1. Fraudulent Declaration of Results In Absence of Voting: In the results announced on July 17, 2025, it was indicated that Wasswa Drake Edward polled 10,914 votes, whereas Dr. Keefa Kiwanuka garnered 12,625 votes.

2. There was no actual voting in some polling stations, including Katalama, Kakinzi, and Kandegeya in Dwaniro Sub-County and Kabumba, Kijumagwa and Ssinzibwa villages in Kasejjere Parish. The respondent (Keefa Kiwanuka), aided by the sub-county registrar, fabricated results and presented them as legitimate, despite no ballot being cast. (A copy of the video showing ticking the register without voting was attached to the petition as evidence).

A simple arithmetic of the results from:-

Katalama Parish in Kamugabo VIiiage: Candidate Wasswa received 190 votes, while Dr. Keefa garnered 44 votes.

Kakinzi Village: Wasswa secured 44 votes, compared to Dr. Keefa’s 156 votes.

Kandegeya: Wasswa received 33 votes, whereas Dr. Keefa obtained 145 votes.

Total votes across the above-mentioned areas; Wasswa garnered a total of 267 votes, while Dr. Keefa received 1024 votes, resulting in a vote difference of 757 votes in favour of Dr. Keefa.

Lwamata Subcounty;

• Kibiru: Wasswa received 34 votes; Dr. Keefa received 129 votes.

• Kyanika: Wasswa secured 38 votes; Dr. Keefa obtained 134 votes.

• Ssinzibwa: Wasswa received 29 votes; Dr. Keefa garnered 229 votes.

• Kabumba: Wasswa obtained 51 votes; Dr. Keefa received 205 votes.

Total votes in Lwamata SubCounty: Wasswa received 152 votes while Dr. Keefa obtained 607 votes, resulting in a total difference of 455 votes in favour of Dr. Keefa.

Overall Total Votes: The results from the above-mentioned areas; Wasswa received 419 votes, whereas Dr. Keefa received 1631 votes, with a total combined vote difference of 1,212 votes in favour of Dr. Keefa. The data above clearly shows a substantial lead of 1,212 votes in favour of Dr. Keefa Kiwanuka; however, these figures are based on imputed results, raising serious concerns about irregularities and anomalies in the voting process.

3. Distribution of Gifts and Inducements: Dr. Kiwanuka engaged in voter bribery by distributing chairs, saucepans, hoes, solar lights and cash during the campaign period. Such conduct constitutes a violation of the Parliamentary Elections Act, 2005 (as amended), Section 68.

4. Violence, Intimidation, and Destruction of Electoral Materials: In Bukomero Sub-county, specifically in Kikoowa Parish, supporters of Dr. Keefa Kiwanuka violently assaulted the election registrar, resulting in physical injury and the forcible removal of election records, thereby compromising the integrity of the electoral process. Several of Wasswa’s agents and supporters were beaten up and forced to flee the voting place.

5. Manipulated Tallying and Ghost Figures: Instances of manipulated vote tallies and the inclusion of ghost voters were reported in several polling stations, artificially inflating votes in favour of the respondent and obstructing genuine results.

6. Failure to Use Electoral Registers: In Sinziibwa Polling Station, Lwamata Sub-county, elections were conducted without reference to the voter register, enabling impersonation by children and non-voters, thus undermining the credibility of election results.

RRAYERS/RELIEFS SOUGHT

▪︎ That the election results declared in favour of Dr. Keefa Kiwanuka be nullified on account of electoral fraud, bribery, violence and disenfranchisement.

▪︎ That the results be retallied excludingthe fake generated results as well as the results which were snatched from the registrar and all the falsified results. ▪︎ An order for a fresh, transparent, free, and fair primary election for Kiboga East Constituency, conducted in strict conformity with NRM electoral guidelines. ▪︎ Investigation into and disciplinary action against all persons, including election officials and party members, who facilitated or participated in illegal acts and electoral misconduct.

CONCLUSION “The electoral process in Kiboga East was marked by manipulation, violence, and corruption, undermining the voice of the genuine voters. We trust your esteemed office will handle this petition with the urgency, transparency, and fairness it warrants and will uphold the principles of justice, fairness, and integrity within the NRM electoral process. We remain available to provide further evidence or clarification as required.” Byamugisha, Gabriel & Co. Advocates.

WHEN FALSE PROPAGANDA BECOMES A SHIELD: THE BAKER MUGAINO CORRUPTION SAGA AND THE WEAPONIZATION OF BAD MEDIA

0

IN HOT SOUP: A day, Baker Mugaino was arrested

OPINION: ASIO SHARON

IN Uganda’s increasingly complex fight against corruption, a troubling tactic is taking root: embattled government officials are said to be turning to the dark side of public relations—using media manipulation, smear campaigns, and strategic spin to deflect accountability.

The case of Baker Mugaino, the recently interdicted Commissioner for Land Registration, illustrates how the media is being misused not as a tool for transparency, but as a weapon to obstruct justice and vilify those upholding the law.

Mugaino’s fall from grace began when the Inspector General of Government (IGG), Beti Kamya Turwomwe, interdicted him over serious allegations of corruption and abuse of office.

These included the irregular cancellation and issuance of land titles, lifting of caveats against legal advice, and issuing freehold titles in contravention of court orders. Following extensive investigations, his office was raided on April 24, 2025, and he was formally interdicted the next day. On June 4, he was arrested, charged, and remanded to Luzira Prison, though he was released on bail a day later.

Yet, instead of focusing on building a legal defense or responding to the charges in court, Mugaino appears to have chosen a different path—one paved with media strategy rather than legal substance.

Mugaino is accused of orchestratrating a campaign to shift public opinion through targeted media messaging. Rather than refuting the corruption charges through evidence and due process, he has reportedly invested in reshaping the narrative—positioning himself as a victim of political persecution and turning his attention toward discrediting the IGG’s office.

The result? A barrage of articles from tabloid-style platforms and little-known digital outlets, many of them echoing the same theme: casting doubt on IGG Kamya’s motives.

These pieces are often short on facts, but rich in innuendo, conspiracy, and misdirection. This isn’t just poor journalism—it’s strategic disinformation. And it marks a growing trend in Uganda where media platforms are recruited to whitewash corruption and attack accountability institutions.

The implications are deeply concerning. When media is co-opted by suspects of corruption, it ceases to be a pillar of democracy and becomes a smokescreen for impunity. The deliberate attempt to muddy the waters, intimidate investigators, and erode public trust in institutions like the IGG’s office reveals a deeper crisis—not just of corruption, but of deliberate obstruction.

The barrage of attacks against IGG Kamya is not coincidental. It reflects a calculated effort to silence integrity. But Kamya, a seasoned politician and now Uganda’s chief anti-corruption crusader, has refused to flinch. Despite the noise, the distortion, and the personal insults, she remains unwavering in her mission.

Her courage under fire is a reminder that integrity still has defenders in a system where truth often comes under siege.Mugaino’s case should also force a national reckoning about the role of public relations. True PR should enhance transparency, clarify truth, and support institutions in communicating with the public. When it is hijacked to protect the corrupt and discredit watchdogs, it becomes a cancer to democracy. This saga is not simply about one official—it is about how corruption evolves.

It moves from backdoor deals to headline manipulation. From forged signatures to forged narratives. And yet, there is a counter-narrative—one of resilience. One of an IGG who refused to be bullied. One of citizens who see through the spin.

Because the real danger is not just corruption—it is when corruption becomes so comfortable that it no longer hides. In this fight, media must choose a side: the truth or the spin. Because justice, no matter how slow, begins to lose when headlines lie and criminals buy airtime instead of lawyers.

DR. SERWADDA: HERE IS WHY IMPACT FM WAS CROWNED EAST AFRICA’S BEST GOSPEL RADIO STATION OF THE YEAR 2024-2025

0

THE AWARD IS HERE: Impact Media Consortium Manager, Mrs. Juliet Scovia Nabisibo Kiseera, during a Sunday Service, delivering to her boss, Presiding Apostle. Joseph Serwadda an award won by Impact radio as the Gospel Radio Station of the year, in East Africa.

OPINION BY: DR. JOSEPH SERWADDA

AT a glittering award ceremony this month, in Tanzania’s coastal city of Dar es Salaam, Impact FM Uganda emerged victorious as Best Gospel Radio Station in East Africa, a stunning affirmation of its cultural, spiritual, and musical influence.

SO AMAZING: Pr. Freda Serwadda holding an award won by Impact FM

In a field packed with established players and emerging voices, Impact FM’s win, marks a seismic shift in the regional gospel media space, officially signaling its elevation from national beacon to a continental powerhouse.

A LEGACY FORGED IN FAITH AND FREQUENCY

Founded in 1997 by your truly, Dr. Joseph Serwadda, Presiding Apostle of the Born Again Faith, also Senior Minister at Victory Christian Centre, Impact FM began as a humble ministry outreach, sparked by a vision to broadcast “the message of hope and grace” radio waves.

PHOTO; A certificate of legendary recognition was also awarded to Mrs. Carol Budwike, a gospel artist and member of Victory Christian Centre Ndeeba. Dr. Serwadda congratulated her

Today, with footprints across Buganda, Busoga, Bugisu, Teso, Bunyoro and some parts of Northern Region, the station embodies its slogan: “Where visions are born, and destinies achieved.

GOSPEL ARTIST: Mrs. Carol Budwike was given a certificate of legendary recognition

From Uganda’s Capital, Kampala City on 98.4fm, Masaka City 101.5fm, Jinja City 107.6fm, Mbale City on 103.7fm, the nation is treated to great entertainment, instruction, inspiration and a relentless voice of hope and love!

Over its 24-year journey, Impact FM has not only survived, it’s thrived, expanding from local broadcasts to a Christian Media Consortium powering not only Radio, but TV also, Dream TV (Regional) & BTV (National) which was formerly known as Bunyoro Television. These coupled with a plethora of digital platforms (IMC: Impact Media Consortium) has evolved into a real power house.

Long before awards, its mission was clearly set, and has remained constant: to deliver uplifting gospel music, dynamic teaching, and transformative programming that resonates personally with listeners.

WHAT SETS IMPACT FM APART;

1. AUTHENTIC ENGAGEMENTS AND PURPOSE-DRIVEN PROGRAMMING

Unlike stations that chase trends, Impact FM remains rooted in spiritual authenticity. Their flagship programs, Lwasamayinja, Into His Likeness, His Touch, Bino Obimanyi?, Nze Nga Bwendaba formerly Manya Kyokkiriza, Ensongayo, Burudika, Changamka, Ekyoto ky’Abataka and others, the presenters blend power packed preaching, revelation filled sermon delivery, moving worship, faith-building testimonies, and topical discussions that resonate with listeners across demographics. By balancing doctrinal depth with cultural relevance, Impact FM consistently reaches hearts, and that is a given.

2. COMMUNITY PRESENCE AND GRASSROOTS REACH

Beyond the studio, Impact FM invests in local impact: prayer breakfasts, feeding initiatives, youth empowerment, and evangelical campaigns via partner churches (like Victory Christian Centre). These on-ground engagements cement the station’s spiritual influence, amplifying its ministry beyond airwaves.

3. INNOVATIVE TALENT AND VOCAL EXCELLENCE From hosts to DJs who ignite evenings and weekends, Impact FM’s talent has become synonymous with Gospel excellence. Behind the mic is a production team committed to crisp audio, contextual content, and seamless theology. “Impact FM doesn’t just broadcast content.Every song, every call-in, they build faith. Their win is our testimony,” Reverend Kidega, a partner church minister testifies.

THE MOMENT OF TRIUMPH

Few expected a gospel station from Uganda to win the coveted award of ”Best Gospel Radio Station in East Africa” at a fiercely competitive regional award ceremony. Yet when Impact FM claimed the title, the room erupted. The victory was both hard-earned and historical, signaling that spiritually rooted broadcasting can resonate far beyond borders.

BECAUSE WE’RE NO. 1: Bishop Ronald Mukiibi (left) with Dr. Joseph Serwadda, showing the award won by Impact fm

Inside IMC’s studio at the Victory Centre, the mood is electric. I offered a heartfelt perspective, as i broke the news on Saturday evening: “This award is people-driven,” i said,, beaming with gratitude. It’s not just our leadership, it’s every listener, volunteer, donor, partner. Heaven has seen our faith, and God has responded. We build the altar; God brings the fire. Our team invests in quality—tech upgrades, training, responsive programming. Today’s victory is proof that consistency and passion pay.

Although East Africa Arts & Entertainment Awards often spotlight secular stations—NRG Radio Uganda notably won “Best Radio Station in East Africa” in 2024 —this win confirms that gospel media can compete, and win, on quality, impact, and reach. These awards were first launched in 2023 in Nairobi, Kenya, to honor exceptional talent across multiple entertainment sectors, including music, film, media personalities, DJs, and digital creators.

They encompass artists from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, South Sudan, and the DR Congo.“When I drive home and hear Into His Likeness, I feel connected, encouraged, we’re not just hymns; they’re lifelines,” says Miriam Ntwatwa, a Kampala Business professional.

CREDIBLE WINNERS AND COVERAGE

Fally Ipupa, Gims, Innoss’b, and Awilo Longomba won awards at the inaugural ceremony in 2023. In 2024, Tanzanian artist Rayvanny secured five EAEA awards, including Best Male Artist and Best Inspirational Single. In 2025, Kenyan artists like Bien-Aimé Baraza and Mr Seed also earned honors. Major media outlets across the region—such as KBC (Kenya), The Citizen (Tanzania), and Ugandan outlets like Sunrise Uganda and Exclusive Uganda, have provided coverage on the awards and their winners. We congratulate Impact Fm, but will not be surprised when the TV stations lift awards accordingly.

Impact FM’s achievement signals more than a trophy—it heralds a cultural shift in regional gospel media. It shows that religious broadcasting, when done with excellence, can shape society while maintaining spiritual integrity.

Their win also sets a bar: gospel stations in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, and elsewhere must now strive for similar innovation, quality, and impact. Impact FM has illuminated a pathway where faith and media excellence coexist, benefiting local churches, gospel artists, and Christian consumers.

WHAT NEXT?

Investing in Infrastructure. The station is expected to use this momentum to upgrade across its platforms, Radio, TV, digital streaming, with improved studios, expanded coverage, and an enriched online experience. Regional Collaboration Plans are underway for cross-border partnerships with singers like Tanzania’s Rose Muhando, major East African ministries, and event organizers to host conferences and worship tours.

RECEIVED THE AWARD FROM TANZANIA: Manager Julie Scovia Nabisibo

Talent Development. IMC aims to launch a training academy to groom announcers, producers, digital creatives, and media technicians to serve church and commercial sectors alike.

Conclusion: A Wave of Hope and Excellence Impact FM’s award is proof that faith-driven media can not only survive—it can excel, innovate, and lead. By winning Best Gospel Radio Station in East Africa, they’ve turned a national platform into a regional pulpit of influence.

EXCITED: Bishop Ronald Mukiibi

This accolade honors their commitment to quality, passion for ministry, and cultural impact. And it challenges all gospel brands—media and ministry—to reach higher standards and broader audiences. Impact FM’s journey continues, and now, with East African crown and continental acclaim, they are poised to usher in a new era of gospel excellence—a movement where sound ministry, strategic media, and steadfast service converge to bless nations.

RACE FOR RUBAGA SOUTH MP: EUGENIA NASSOLO SECRETLY RUNS TO LUKWAGO FOR PFF CARD, SAYS NUP BOSSES ARE UNDEPENDABLE

0

LEAD PHOTO: In 2021, Nassolo did not respect NUP decission. She ran to Chairman Mao for a DP ticket and lost. This time dont be surprised if she contests on PFF ticket!

NEWS EDITOR MEDIA

PRIOR to 2021 General elections, Eugenia Nassolo was among the contenders for the Rubaga South Constituency MP NUP ticket but on sensing that she doesnt stand any chances to be cleared by the Party independent vetting committee, she met Hon. Norbert Mao and was given a DP ticket on which she contested and lost!

NUP vetting Committee was spot on, Nassolo held no ground, public don’t want her due to her foul plays.

DP Flag bearer for Rubaga South MP 2021, Eugenia Nassolo

She was defeated hands down by NUP’s Aloysius Mukasa, commonly known as Taata Rubaga!

CONSISTENT: NUP’s Hon. Aloysius Mukasa

Bankrolled by her DP Party President Norbert Mao, Nassolo ran to court protesting Hon. Mukasa’s massive victory. She again, lost and coiled her tail!

Years later, shameless Nassolo was seen at NUP Party headquaters hobnobbing with some party members who must have lied that they will secure her a ticket for 2026 without much effort.

Although insiders say, Nassolo and Mao regularly meet and talk, no one knows what the two are up to, of recent. When every one would expect Nassolo to swallow her pill and respectfully bow out of Rubaga politics after 2021 embarrassment by voters and betraying NUP, she has again tendered in her interest to contest for Rubaga South MP.

Nassolo who is known to be in a political ‘bed’ with Lordmayor Erias Lukwago, visited Besigye at his Kasangati home, before the four-times Presidential candidate was arrested. The two, Besigye and Nassolo had an exclusive meeting although Nassolo said on media that she had gone to surprise her friend, Dr. Besigye on his birthday.

It is suspected that Lukwago who is Nassolo’s confidant, was the brain behind this meeting and the motive was to introduce Nassolo to former President Museveni’s Doctor so that in the future, she would be deployed. We shall come back to in another full detailed shocking story!

NASSOLO APPLIES FOR NUP 2026 MP CARD

When NUP invited those intending to contest for 2026 election on the Kavule Headquaters party ticket, Nassolo was among those who showed interest in Rubaga South.

In fact, she rushed to fill the forms and returned them before others. She has already printed a few posters with NUP symbol.

NASSOLO-PFF DEAL LEAKS

Whereas NUP decision is yet to be made on who to give the party ticket, we can reliably report that, impatient Nassolo has secretly run to her friend Erias Lukwago to book, new Party PFF ticket for MP Rubaga South, in case NUP returns Hon. Mukasa Aloysius.

Nassolo believes she stands no chance with NUP and has therefore resorted to banking on PFF for a ticket!

“Yes she is our own and let NUP make a mistake, we will front Nassolo for MP Rubaga South. Among leading constituencies PFF is targeting in Kampala, Rubaga South is top on the list. It must fall to PFF. We have hopes in Nassolo to win it for us.” Said an insider.

The same Nassolo is said to be in good books with Hon. Mathias Mpuuga’s Democratic Front (DF) Party. For starters, Nassolo is very close to a certain powerful Kabaka’s man in Mengo. Now this powerful man wants Mpuuga to takeover Nassolo and anything can happen anytime. We have tried to reach out to Nassolo for a comment, but by press time, we hadn’t got her!

A number of aspirants are eying Rubaga South MP seat.Ruling NRM is likely to front Lubaga Division Council Speaker Musa Mbaziira.

The incumbent, Aloysius Mukasa is the favourite in the Rubaga South Race and guaranteed a return to the 12th Parliament.

This is a developing story!

NUP FAVOURITE FOR NAKASEKE DISTRICT LCV CHAIRMAN WILLIAM MUSISI IN A BITTER EXCHANGE WITH POLICE BOSS OVER YOUTH ELECTION RIGGING

0

LEAD PHOTO: Chairman William Musisi (right) exchanging with Ssemuto OC Bagyenda, during youth elections in Nakaseke district, last week

NEWS EDITOR MEDIA

WILLIAM MUSISI, the opposition National Unity Platform (NUP) Party aspirant for Nakaseke District LCV Chiarman is a real force to be reckoned with!

Last week, during the National youth elections, Musisi put up a spirited fight against all attempts of rigging votes in Nakaseke District. At Makaayi in Ssemuto, he took on Ssemuto police boss after failed attempts to block him not to access polling stations.

A tough speaking Musisi face off with the Police boss and told him how he (Musisi) is a leader in the opposition leading NUP party, therefore, he can’t sit and fold hands when party youth are complaining about open day rigging.

Mr. Musisi who was narrowly defeated by NRM’s ignatius Koomu in the last election for Nakaseke District LCV Chiarman told police boss that, “Under my mandate as a leader in NUP and an aspirant of Nakaseke District LCV Chairmanship, I have come here to ascertain acts of vote rigging reported by our party youth on ground. It’s absurd that some of our members are denied an opportunity to elect their leaders. That is unacceptable.”

Police and other security operatives were accused by NUP for showing sides during the youth elections yet they are not supposed to be partisan. Mr. Musisi who on that day traversed most parts of Nakaseke to supervise youth elections say, polls were marred by irregularities and the declared results do not represent youths’ choices!

A renown activist and freedom fighter, Musisi addressed groups of NUP youth in Nakaseke not to lose hope saying, “We have a big war to fight and win early next year. Elections in some parts of Nakaseke were rigged but in 2026 it will not be business as usual. So let’s remain united and focused, we will tame votes rigging. We have to protect the victory of our President Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi and all flag bearers, come rainfall or sunshine.”

In the 2021 General elections, Nakaseke is one of the Luweero Triangle which fell to opposition NUP.

In Nakaseke Central Constituency, NUP’s Allan Mayanja Sebunya defeated former finance Cabinet minister Syda Bbumba.Hon. Paul Ssemakula Luttamaguzi was re elected MP Nakaseke South. Esther Nakawooya almost defeated NRM’s Sarah Najjuma for the District Woman Member of Parliament.NUP says, in 2026, they will take all elective seats in Nakaseke District.

However, ruling NRM Party leaders are also strategising and already plotting on how to reclaim Nakaseke District. In an exclusive interview with this leading investigative News Website, Mr. Musisi assured us of their team work saying, NUP is unbreakable in Nakaseke advising State minister for Kampala Kabuye Kyofatogabye, Hon. Sarah Najjuma, Ignatius Koomu and company not to waste their time and resources. We are told, Hon. Luttamaguzi who recently crossed to NUP from Democratic Party (DP) is the team leader in Nakaseke and ready to command NUP to victory in 2026!Let’s watch the space.

NUP YOUTH WINGER JOEL INNOCENT SSENTONGO RUNS TO TV AFTER RECEIVING DEATH THREATS, BOBI WINE CONFIRMS ZAIDI’S ABDUCTION AS NRM BOSS OPENLY VOWS, ‘WE WILL CRUSH YOU’

NEWS EDITOR MEDIA

MY life and the life of my sister Stecia Ssentongo is in danger! I even don’t know whether I will leave this TV studio safely or will end this year alive. They want to abduct and kill us because of our support to Hon. Bobi Wine,” said youthful Joel Innocent Ssentongo, while featuring on a religious based television station in Kampala, Uganda.

MY LIFE IS IN DANGER: Joel Innocent Ssentongo when he featured on Dream tv in May, 2025.

He shockingly revealed that, “Men said to be security operatives in plain clothes are trailing us on bodabodas, I receive threatening phone calls from private numbers, their order is that we stop mobilizing youth in schools to support NUP’s Hon. Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi and instead rally behind the NRM corrupt regime or we face death! It’s a No deal on our side”.

“We remain unapologetically proud of the conscious, informed decision I and my sister made to support NUP and our leader, Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi. Let me categorically state it that, no amount of intimidation will shake our resolve”, Ssentongo said all this, during a political and current Affairs’ show ‘The Agenda’ which shows both on Dream TV and BTV every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 6am to 8am.

DREAM TV STUDIO PHOTO: From left; Moses Mugalula (Show host), Dr. Swaibu Nsereko (JEEMA Party Spokesperson), Bob Luswata (NRM Secretariat), Joel Innocent Ssentongo (NUP) and David Musiri (NUP).

Born of Nabisalu Village, Kibuye I Parish, Makindye Division in Kampala, on tv, Ssentongo was on May 13, 2025 hosted alongside JEEMA (Justice Forum) Party Spokesperson Dr. Swaibu Nsereko, NRM’s Bob Luswata Bwanika and Mr. David Musiri (NUP Head of Institutions).

Ssentongo who was invited to talk about youth elections organised by the Electoral Commission said he had no hopes for the opposition youth to win because the organisers were in bed with the ruling regime predicting another sham election. Ssentongo said, “The NRM government fears a democratic process. Some of us who chose to decampaign a corrupt regime are threatened with abduction, arrests and more so, death.”, making a shocking revelation that, “I receive phone calls threatening my life if I do not stop mobilizing youth in schools to reject a corrupt government. I am tired of unidentified men said to be State operatives, trailing me, everywhere i go. My only intention is to see NRM government leave power and be replaced by a people’s government which will respect Human Rights.”

While speaking on tv, Joel Innocent Ssentongo recalled  a day, he was trailed with his sister Stecia by men on a motorcycle covering heads with helmets. They were also on a bobaboda coming from NUP Party Headquaters at Kavule to attend a weekly press conference. Without going into details of this incident, Joel said they escaped through Makerere University until they reached out to Mityana Municipality NUP Member of Parliament Hon. Francis Zaake, who rescued the two.

PHOTO: Joel’s sister, Stecia Ssentongo, an ardent NUP supporter and a youth mobilizer. The two complained about men in plain clothes witch hunting them

With tears rolling down his eyes, Joel Ssentongo said, he even fears to sleep at his parents’ home, keeps on hiding at friends’ home.  “I am tired of sleeping in friends’ homes. I would be sleeping in my father’s house, during school vacation i worked at a family business, and I’m tired of hiding,” Said Ssentongo, as he speaks out about an alleged manhunt by unidentified security operatives that has forced him to keep on hiding.

Haunted because of our political belief: STECIA SSENTONGO

He asked, “But why is this regime so insecure? They always taught us that we are the  leaders of the next Generation, leaders of tomorrow. This is our tomorrow, our Generation. But everytime we move in to take leadership positions, we are beaten, tortured and we have heard about sad stories of molesting our sisters in the opposition.”

“You all saw what transpired in Kawempe North by-election. We were beaten by security organs especially JATT, with impunity, just because, we the youth, supported NUP’s Erias Luyimbazi Nalukoola.” Said Joel Innocent Ssentogo.

Asked what it is, that makes him hate NRM to the marrow, Ssentongo said he believes this is the 21st Century, with 21st Century problems requiring 21st Century solutions. He categorically stated that, if youth of the 21st century who can ably solve 21st century problems are indeed abducted, tortured by the government, intimidated and left with no other alternative, “Apart from fighting for our rights, fighting for democracy.”

PHOTO: Because of his love for NUP, even at school, Joel Ssentongo loved putting on red, NUP’s colour

He informed viewers that many of his colleagues in the youth wing of NUP are continually arrested and left to rot in different government prisons. He asked, what makes it so difficult for the government to produce them  before courts of law.

When the show host, journalist Moses Mugalula ‘The Senior Investigator’ asked why Ssentongo and his sister Stecia, young as they are detest NRM regime, Joel Innocent Ssentongo, without mincing words, shot back to this Political Affairs TV show host that, “What kind of question is that  Mr. Mugalula? I feel irritated when someone asks such a question.”

“Look at what is transpiring in our country, hundreds of fellow youth are jobless, many don’t have the means to go to school, no one pays their school fees bills, hundreds are homeless, they sleep on the streets on empty stomachs,  ghetto areas like Kisenyi, Kawempe, Kamwokya and Katwe to mention but a few are full of disgruntled youth who are marginalised and neglected by the ruling regime.” Said Ssentongo. He advised the show host to find time and visit Uganda prisons, saying, all are full of youth, many on trumped-up charges, they are political prisoners and the government feels unbothered. He gave an example of youth like Eddie Mutwe and others, tortured almost to death! Youth are witnessing acute corruption in our country. We are too scared, very insecure with the NRM government. We are so much pressed on the wall.

Asked whether this is done to disuade them from supporting Hon. Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi for President, Joel Innocent Ssentongo said, “God, the creator gave us a right to decide our choice of leaders. You cant force me to vote a leader against my will.

Born and raised up during President Museveni’s 40 years’ rule, Joel Innocent Ssentongo told viewers during a TV show that as a young voter, he is ready to continue mobilizing for his NUP party and Hon. Kyagulanyi. “I am ready to reach out to fellow youth in schools to embrace the Protest vote campaign ahead of 2026 General elections.”

BIRDS OF SAME FEATHERS; Joel Inbocent Ssentongo with John Baptist Ssegirinya, NUP youth leader in Rubaga

Despite the fact that he is intimidated, Joel Innocent looked determined. Although uncertain whether he will be alive the next day, this young man believes future generations will enjoy the fruits of today’s sweat. He said, “I know, security operatives trailing me are also watching this show. He intimated to the Host that he is not sure of tomorrow and lives one day at a time. He believes and knows fr a fact that his life and that of his sister Stecia Ssentongo is in danger.

“‘WE WILL BEAT YOU, WE WILL CONTINUE TO TORTURE YOU’, NRM BOSS ATTACKS NUP’S JOEL INNOCENT SSENTONGO DURING A TV SHOW

Responding to Ssentongo’s worry for his life and that of his sister, Mr. Bob Bwanika Luswata an official from NRM Secretariat, plot 10 Kyadondo vowed that the ruling regime will continue haunting, beating up and arresting the likes of Ssentongo who detest NRM government.Clad in NRM yellow shirt, Bob Bwanika said, “We will beat you, we will continue to arrest and torture you and all opposition youth who think you must be heard! You dont understand us. Yes you are very many but we will control you and you must abide or be ready to face it rough. Expect no mercy.” Warned NRM ruling government official.

Mr. Bob Bwanika Luswata revealed that NRM brought peace but the opposition shouldnt use it to plot against the regime because that will never be accepted.”NUP youth like Joel Innocent Ssentongo must respect the law and dare not joke with us. As long as you continue protesting against the status quo, we will suppress you, we have   the security teams  that can teach you a lesson you will never forget, we shall crush you, better run for your life or cross to NRM.” Vowed NRM boss, Bob Luswata Bwanika.

David Musiri, Head of Insititution mobilization in NUP reacted angrily to NRM’s Luswata saying that, his regime is like a sinking boat, it can intimidate, abduct or even kill NUP youth but that will never save it from falling. “NRM is a dying horse, it is kicking many opposition youth but no one will ever give us power on a silver platter. Power is fought for. Many youth like Joel Innocent Ssentongo have been arrested and will never be seen again. Look at our brother Kibalama, Prime Minister Nabbanja openly told Parliament that they abducted and have him in their cells, but the next day she denied ever knowing Kibalama’s whereabouts.” Revealed David Musiri

He said 78% of the Uganda’s population are youth and 90% of NRM supporters are youth.

“Innocent is here, at his youthful years, they are calling him on private numbers, trying to intimidate him, the goverment fears its own people, the regime looks at us as enemies.” Said Musiri, a political activist and human rights defender.
