CHILDREN of City businessman Mohan Kiwanuka from the official wife, Beatrice Kavuma, and their mother have called on the Buganda Monarch not to get involved in a family dispute between the two wives of the sick business mogul.

Children led by Jordan Ssebuliba, allege that their stepmother, Mrs. Maria Kiwanuka, is using her closeness to the Buganda Kingdom Queen, Lady Sylivia Nagginda and the state apparatus, since she is a Senior Presidential Advisor, to fight off the co-wife and the children from getting a fair share of the family properties.
For starters, the two, Nabagereka and Maria are great friends, no wonder, Children want Nagginda not to be lured to Maria’s side to fight her battles with Kiwanuka’s children.
“We respect Maama Nabagereka but humbly request that she does not involve herself in these family fights. We have information that Maria tells people who she uses in these fights, that Mama Nnabagereka is with her over these matters.” Reveals Mohan Kiwanuka’s Children.
They claim that Maria Kiwanuka uses a section of judicial officers to make her way through, thereby sidestepping the proper legal systems to achieve her dream of snatching all the assets under the guise of company properties.
However, her luck seems to be running out as the Court of Appeal threw out a case in which she wanted to block children from the administration of the estate. Maria alleged that Kiwanuka wasn’t dead for the children to claim a share of the property, but rather was unwell to administer the day-to-day work.
She further asserted that the properties which these children are demanding a fair share of weren’t family property but rather company properties with the directors.
However, Jordan Ssebuliba and his siblings objected, stating that, whereas Maria fronts the issues of properties being under companies, the properties wholly remain Mohan Kiwanuka’s.
Ssebuliba further questioned if it is the same spirit, why is the same Maria Kiwanuka nominating her children to some of the boards where their father used to be, and yet when they demand the same, they are rejected.
“She is a liar, we want to know how much she makes and how it is spent? She is busy buying her way out, but we want to know further who the other directors are, if she isn’t, and her children?” Asked children, adding that,”Why didn’t she implement the Court of Appeal directive that directed that we have a family member manage the estate? How did she rush to the Supreme Court to appeal, and yet no one had violated the directive, and how could the Supreme Court agree to her, and yet the decision of the Court of Appeal hadn’t been implemented?”
