OPINION BY SSEMALEMBA HASSAN
DEAR colleagues and all members of Kisenyi III, allow me to salute you with the best of all salutations, Asalam Aleikum W.W.
Firstly, I take this timely opportunity to great you and extend my deepest appreciation to you my Party NUP and my voters in Kampala.
I am Ssemalemba Hassan, a bona-fide child of Mengo Kisenyi III Parish Luzige zone, the son of the soil who is deeply connected to our homeland, norms, culture and a royal servant to the Kingdom of Buganda in our Parish and proud of my roots and sense of belonging.
Noble and Decent members, am here to expressively send my appreciation message to you all members for the support you accorded me in the recently concluded elections as i was a candidate for the position of Direct councillor of our electoral area.
Am convinced beyond reasonable doubt that whatever it required within my capacity to get the win was done but Allah the Mighty chose it that way, I accept his Will. I managed to poll 609 votes in the parish of which votes symbolises the love and the will of the people of kisenyi Ill they had for me, they were many and enough for me to be declared as a winner a case which did not go in our favor.
I thank you my supporters for all your efforts and good heart you expressed towards me in the trial times of all my campaigns. You stood with me,encouraged me, gave me all the moral and some even financial and physical support, I promise to stand with you at all necessary times.
I tender in my apologies to those that I might have wronged along the way and ask for your forgiveness as I have forgiven all that deliberately and unintentionally wronged me for the goodness and progress of our Parish.
For those that were declared Winners, your now our leaders and I personally accept and promise my total allegiance to you for the betterment of our society and we expect alot from you more so service delivery.To the rest of members, let us remain one, we love one another and we do all we can to see that our area is lifted to another level. We help and support the Elderly , the Needy and the Young ones in each and every one’s capacity. Lastly we give Maximum respect to those that have raised us in the community uncodtionally because they are icons of our society.May Allah reward you abundantly my dear brothers and sisters and keep our natural bond we have sofar had even after campaigns.
