ON SEPTEMBER 28, 2025, a day before NUP released lists of Party ticket winners for Member of Parliament, Hon. Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine, received a call of a certain big man from Bulange (names witheld for now), begging him to give ‘his woman’ Nassolo Eugenia, NUP ticket to contest for MP Rubaga South!
Our reliable sources from Kavule says, the list already beared Hon. Mukasa Aloysius’ name who had been cleared by EMC after defeating other aspiring candidates for the seat.
The request from Bulange’s bigman, troubled Bobi, it looked hard for him to delete Mukasa’s name, a longtime friend, a legislator who was not only loyal to the party but also very supportive to all party activities, performed well in Parliament and in the constituency.
The caller insisted, he wanted his woman cleared, pledging a ceasefire of a war between him and NUP.

Do you remember a group of elders in Kanzus and Gomesi who visited Bobi at his Magere, a day before MP lists were uploaded on NUP social media platforms? Insiders allege, they were on a mission to secure Nassolo’s ticket on all costs!

Who sent this team and what is his relationship with Nassolo? What was the real deal to delete Hon. Mukasa’s name who had scored highly in NUP’s Electoral Management Committee (ECM) and be replaced with a Nassolo who analysts call a political prostitute? And why was Meddie Nsereko fired from CBS? In Part II of this story, we will bring full details!
BUT WHY SACRIFICE A HUMBLE LOYAL SERVANT?
If asked, names of NUP Members in The 11th Parliament who have whole heartedly bankrolled Party activities without first asking questions, legislators with utter loyalty to the Principal and to the struggle, your head will be having a issues if you skip Rubaga South MP Mukasa Aloysius, among others!
Shockingly, his card, under unclear circumstances, was given to unpopular Nassolo Eugenia, who in 2021 betrayed NUP and contested on DP ticket! We will come back to this, later!
MUKASA’S LOYALTY TO BOBI AND NUP

On all incidents Parliament swum into a cash bonanza, Rubaga South MP Mukasa has been coming out with clean hands.
A day, Members of Parliament who subscribe to the ruling NRM Party, others from DP, FDC MPs, and some NUP MPs received 100M each, a few, especially NUP legislators who were accused of being Hon. Bobi Wine’s loyalists like Mukasa, didnt get the handshake!
NUP MPs who did not receive the cash included Mityana Municipality’s Francis Butebi Zaake, Lubaga South’s Aloysius Mukasa, Hon. Muwada Nkunyingi (Kyadondo East), Nakaseke Central’s Allan Mayanja Sebunya, Makindye East’s Derrick Nyeko, among a few other Bobi loyalists!
HOW MUKASA RESCUED ZAHARA LUYIRIKA & OTHER POLITICAL PRISONERS
Because of his loyalty to the Party, Hon. Aloysius Mukasa is remembered for having rescued a team of National Unity Platform (NUP) leaders led by Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Speaker Zahara Luyirika. They got arrested for demonstrating against mistreatment and eviction of street vendors by NRM government officials.
Speaker Zahara Luyirika and her councilors who included Kigozi Rose Nalubwama, Nalubega Fausta Bitaano, Nansubuga Winnie and many others were remanded to either Kitalya min max prison or Kigo. The four who were released on court bail, we’re picked from Kigo by MP Aloysius Mukasa who was accompanied by Lord councilor Faridah Nakabugo and other councilors.

Hon. Mukasa did everything possible to make sure NUP leaders are released. He perfectly did the job!
When Umar Lweere, former LC1 Secretary for Defence, Bulwa village, Lubaga Parish in Rubaga South constituency, passed on, Hon. Mukasa said people like Umar Lweere who stood for the truth and good governance in the country should be given a decent send-off because they choose not to betray their country. He stood with the family. This is how Hon. Mukasa has been conducting himself, to his constituents.
RELEVANCY AT PARLIAMENT
What about, first term legislators who have impacted their constituencies and constituents? Will you leave out Hon. Mukasa? The answer is no!
Even before Mukasa was elected Member of Parliament, he single handedly tarmacked a road in Kabowa at a cost of UGX 500M, fed hundreds during Covid 19 lockdown and donated an ambulence to Rubaga South.
When Parliament gave him money for the car, he donated it to his constituents, bought clean water supply car, educated hundreds of disadvantaged children, donates to churches, mosques, invest in talent identification and hold consultative meetings.

In Parliament, Hon. Mukasa made his maiden Speech by asking Parliament during the 3rd sitting of the 3rd meeting of the 1st session of the 11th Parliament to task the Minister of Internal Affairs to explain how well Police fire brigade is prepared to deal with fire outbreaks in the country!

During a plenary presided over by then Deputy Speaker, The Rt. Hon. Anita Annet Among, MP Mukasa said this was a matter of National Importance and, “As leaders, we just can’t fold hands and look on as our children continue being killed by such fires and property worth billions lost.”
This came after Good Infant Primary School Kawaala got burnt and innocent life lost!
In a parliamentary sitting, MP Mukasa told Parliament that before Parliament went into recess, he raised a matter relating to the preparedness of Police Fire Brigade in responding to emergencies such as fire outbreaks in Uganda. He was seeking an elaborate response from the Hon. Minister of Internal Affairs on the matter.
“Rt. Hon. Speaker, I was referring to rampant fire outbreaks in which many lives have been lost and property worth billions destroyed.” Said Hon. Mukasa.

Speaking with an American accent amidst ululation from the excited Hon. Members, Hon. Mukasa told Parliament that the rate at which fire is gutting businesses is alarming and yet the poorly planned mushrooming storeyed buildings which are being erected across the country, the many housing structures which do not allow access of fire emergency by police fire brigade especially in slum areas and the slow response by police fire Brigade are rendering the problem unmanageable.
“Since December when I raised this very matter Rt. Hon. Speaker and Hon. Members, the country has witnessed an escalation of serious fire incidences especially in school domitories where innocent young pupils perished in fires and uncountable property destroyed!” Said Rubaga South legislator.
Hon. Mukasa reffered to five pupils who died in a fire on 15th January 2022 which gutted New Crest Junior at Kibedi Day and Boarding Primary School in Kawempe Divion, Kampala District and another one at St. John’s Primary School in Kyotera district.
Speaker thanked Hon. Mukasa for raising such an important matter of National interest.
MUKASA ON THE WELFARE OF LOCAL COUNCIL LEADERS
Still in Parliament, Hon. Mukasa raised a Matter of National Importance on the floor of Parliament in regard to the welfare of Local Council leaders who includes LC chairpersons, women leaders, youth leaders and people with disabilities (PWDs).
During a Parliamentary sitting presided over by Speaker Anita Among, MP Mukasa asked Local Government minister Raphael Magyezi, to explain why local council leaders were promised air yet they play a very fundamental role in communities within their jurisdiction.

Hon. Mukasa told Speaker and fellow legislators that, “Local leaders including those at village councils are entitled for a monthly allowance of UGX 10,000 (Ten Thousand Shillings only) which government pledged to give them. Despite the role they play in ensuring security and harmony within communities, they had spent 3 (three) years without a pay.”
Rubaga South MP told Parliament that besides UGX 10,000 a month being a mockery by NRM government to these hardworking local council leaders which allowance Parliament should look into and consider an increment, that money isn’t sent to them as government pledged.
He said, failure by the government to facilitate local council leaders brings laxity in the execution of their duties and the end result is increase in criminality, cases of land grabbing and corruption.
Speaker, again saluted Hon. Mukasa for raising this matter and promised that government will come out with an official statement.
DEMONSTRATING FOR POOR ROADS IN RUBAGA
From reaching out to Works and Roads Minister Katumba Wamala to leading demonstrations, Hon. Mukasa’s voice on poor roads in Rubaga, has been bold.

This was evident on roads like Namasuba-Nyanama-Kitebi road which starts ftom Freedom City.

Although NRM leaders convened a meeting and warned Hon. Mukasa not to demonstrate of poor roads, this didnot in anyway stop him.

Hence, the ministry came in to work on the road.Hon. Mukasa has been inspecting schools, government markets and at no single moment he absconded from his role as an MP.
WHEN CHURCH ENDORSED MUKASA
Because he has proven to be a hardworking MP both at Parliament and in the Constituency, many people look at him as irreplaceable! At a mega function organised by St. Charles Lwanga Mutundwe Catholic Parish on Sunday, May 26, 2026 to mark 10th Anniversary and fundraise for the construction of the Parish School, the Head of laity Vincent Kawunde had no kind words for struggling politician Eugenia Nassolo!
Without mincing words, Mr. Kawunde told off Eugenia Nassolo and asked her not to bother them for votes as Member of Parliament for Rubaga South in 2026 because they are returning their son Hon. Aloysius Mukasa!

MP Mukasa contributed UGX 4M in cash while Nassolo pleged UGX 1M.MP Mukasa has donated to Mosques, Churches, Schools, youth groups, women groups, name it. He is a darling to Rubaga South People.

Denying him a ticket, from a party he served with one heart, shocked his constituents.
In Part II of this story, we will show you how Nassolo, who betrayed NUP in 2021, a lady who disobeyed Principal Kyagulanyi in 2021, a woman known not to be dependable, managed to ‘steal’, Hon. Mukasa’s ticket and why she will never deliver victory to NUP.
