MEMBER of Parliament for Rubaga South Constituency, Hon. Aloysius Mukasa Talton Gold’s campaign drives spent the weekend mobilizing Rubaga people to gather in big numbers as Presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu’s revolutionary train begins in Rubaga Division today, Monday, and then after, heads to Teso Sub-region.
Hon. Kyagulanyi will be campaigning in Rubaga South, a constituency represented by MP Mukasa and also, Rubaga North of MP Kawalya Abubaker.
Although the NUP Electoral Management Committee (EMC) denied Hon. Mukasa a party ticket over unclear reasons, this has not in anyway stopped the incumbent from mobilizing for his President, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu.
On Saturday and Sunday, our reporter came across a campaign trucks with sound systems owned by Hon. Mukasa, moving around Rubaga South Constituency calling out people to turn up in big numbers and receive Mr. Principal who will be campaigning in the constituency, today.
For starters, Rubaga South people requested their MP to contest again which he accepted and his symbol is a ball!
“It’s true am contesting as an independent but i am fully NUP member with a life membership. My President is His Excellency Robert Ssentamu Kyagulanyi. So we have to receive him today with a vibe! Remember on January 15, 2026, it will be a Kyagulanyi – Mukasa affair. Vote Kyagulanyi, vote the ball.” Said, Hon. Aloysius Mukasa, who was awarded with a Bachelors degree in law, recently.
Parlianentary Score Card listed MP Mukasa as one of the first term Mps who contributed so well in the Plenary and also performed excellently back in the constituency.
Mukasa vowed to defeat other contenders come Jsnuary 15, 2025, calling them political jokers.
His posters are everywhere in the constituency and uses a door to door campaign approach.
Mukasa is known to be a great mobilizer with super campaign tactics. He is a student in marketing, never be shocked if Mukasa beats other contenders in the election, with a very big margin.
Our teams are working on an opinion poll in Rubaga South, reaching out to different parishes, zones and villages. However, from what we have gathered so far, Hon. Mukasa and NRM candidate Musa Mbaziira will face off, for this seat! Others are just following.
