THE football National governing body, FUFA, has selected former national team players Yasser Mugerwa and Mubarak Tenywa to represent Ugandan players at a FIFA-organized session in Rabat, Morocco.

The session, taking place from November 7-9, 2025, at the FIFA Offices, aims to address key issues facing players in the modern game, coinciding with the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup final on 8th November 2025. Mugerwa and Tenywa will join other professional players to discuss player welfare and development. This move demonstrates FUFA’s commitment to involving former players in football activities, aligning with one of the Technical Master plan’s key pillars-life after playing football.
Over 100 former Uganda players have been integrated into the football ecosystem by the Federation under the able leadership of Hon. Eng. Moses Magogo, taking on roles in administration, punditry, coaching and participating in CAF coaching sessions.

FUFA has integrated over 100 former players into football ecosystem, roles include: Administration, punditry, coaching, delegates, secretariat, national teams, coach education. This aligns with the FUFA Technical Master plan’s pillar: Life after playing football.
