THE regional league has received 545 Zaakayo balls, thanks to the Federation of Uganda Football Association (FUFA) for the push.
The handover ceremony of the balls was held today at FUFA Complex in Mengo, Kampala and presided over by FUFA’s 2nd Vice President, Dr Azah Taibu.
The Zakayo balls were handed over to the 8 General Secretaries of the regional football associations.
“This initiative which was approved by the FUFA Executive Committee has benefited 109 clubs playing in the FUFA Regional Leagues. FUFA has also supported all 16 UPL clubs, 16 FUFA Big League clubs and 12 FUFA Women Super League clubs, with Zakayo balls all worth nearly UGX 200 million.” Said FUFA Communications Director Ahmed Marsha Hussein.
