GOOD news coming from the Californian based hospital in the United States of America, their patient Hon. Francis Butebi Zaake who is the National Unity Platform (NUP) Party youth leader, also Mityana Municipality legilator has had a successful eyes’ operation. Thanks be to God, he can now see!
Speaking to a close family member on Saturday morning shortly after Hon. Zaake left the Theater, this News Website was told how hard a moment it was since some of them were worried the operation could have gone bad!
“The MP would completely go blind.” Said a family member.
They told us, “Going for this operation was a risk. Some of us believed in a successful operation while others were worried that Hon. Zaake would go blind. God is great, now the MP can see with his naked eyes.”
In a few minutes later, the MP posted on his official Facebook page how he is healed.
Hon. Zaake posted, “I am very pleased to inform you that the expert physicians working on me have successfully restored my eye-sight. I won’t have to use the glasses anymore.”
He lost sight in April last year when he was arrested by security operatives. He put it on these men in uniform that they tortured him for days, pepper spraying his eyes with chemicals.
Since then, he has been using sun glasses to have some sight.
More prayers are still needed as the MP is going for another operation.
On Saturday morning he posted, “I am now praying for the total recovery of functionality of my legs in a month’s time as promised by a podiatric physician.”
His right leg was broken during one of the endless politically ochestrared arrests. Since then it has been deformed and the MP had to walk with a supporting stick.
His family, voters and NUP are praying that the MP heals so fast and flies back to attend the swearing-in of the 11th Parliament MPs in May this year.
